In order for traders to reach the right decision about their investment vehicles, let’s illustrate some differences between a few markets: Forex, Futures and Stocks.

The first question you should ask yourself is “what type of trader am I?”. Or perhaps, "what type of trader do I want to be?", and "what type of financial instruments do I want to trade?"

The forex marketplace is huge and can be segmented into the following areas:

1.) Day Traders (short term traders).
Day traders buy and sell financial instruments within the same business day. They typically look at technical analysis, attempting to identify immediate market trends using charting patterns.
Day traders usually make numerous trading decisions each day. By the term 'numerous' we mean they buy and sell currencies, future contracts or stocks more than once a day.
